Ag-venture

Once again, the Steinbrenner FFA Chapter came together to teach the community about agriculture at the Florida State Fair. Located by the livestock arenas, the Ag-venture barn is filled with activities that draw in the general public. Working as volunteers for this event, chapter members split up into two shifts and manned different stations. Outside the building, people can "pick" their own oranges and squeeze fresh orange juice. Inside, people can make butter from cream, milk a cow, learn about where some daily products come from, grow radish seeds, and see just how well they wash their hands. Each activity is engaging from young children to senior citizens and people from all walks of life stop by. This event is something our chapter loves to get together and do, and we plan to continue to volunteer here in upcoming years as well.
